Emma Ward is a Cavalier 43 DS cutter rigged sloop. Featuring an elevated saloon with large windows she is bright and very spacious below. The deck saloon configuration permits the engine to be fitted amidships, above the keel, which is undoubtedly the best location on a sailing boat. She is very well built and is fully equipped for long range cruising. With 2 private double cabins and 3/4 more berths there is plenty of accommodation.
The engine was replaced in 2004 and shows only moderate hours and is in good condition. The engine also runs the desalinator pressure pump and the eutectic refrigeration compressor via a well engineered double belt drive system.
She has a large desalinator for limitless fresh water.
The rigging was replaced in 2018 and new sails were fitted in 2022.
She has been fitted with modern, light weight, high output lithium batteries and has a bank of solar panels.
The electronics are modern and she is fitted with a quality Coursemaster autopilot.
