History
The yacht was manufactured to QLD survey by Mc Dell (NZ) in 1983 and launched in 1984. It is known to have been in the QLD charter market after which it was purchased by its first known private owner in 1996. It was refitted for ocean and bay racing at Moreton Bay Qld. Those events included the 1997 Brisbane to Gladstone yacht race. In 1998 the boat was purchased by another private owner and up until 2006 it was sailed occasionally in social events and on Moreton Bay cruises. In 2006 it was purchased by the current owner and was again refitted for ocean and bay racing. It subsequently sailed successfully in club and inter-club racing, including the Brisbane to Gladstone yacht race. It remains competitive in club social racing.
Significant refurbishment/refitting includes:
o Complete below waterline hull refurbish including epoxy coating 2008 (JSA Marine - Manly).
o Saloon floor replaced & finished with marine carpet.
o Bow & stern rails (incl. Stern equip. Frame) refurbished and renewed respectively.
o Improved spray dodger with structural support (circa 2010).
o New Volvo Penta D1-20 and sail-drive installed 2014 (Moore Marine- Manly).
o 240 V refrigeration plant installed 2014 (Freezetec- Manly).
o New mainsail & coverJuly 2024 (Switch Sails- Redcliffe).
o Fusion AV650 AM/FM/DVD with Majestic flat screen TV.
