Hanse 400

Hanse Call Seller , launched in 2012 and equipped for blue water sailing.   Available from June 2024. 

The Hanse 400 is a Judel & Vrolijk design that won yacht of the year in 2006.  The boat has great sailing performance, double helm stations in a wide cockpit and fold down a bathing platform. The interior is modern and spacious with 3 double cabins and 1 bathroom.   Stella Horizon has had only 2 private owners and never chartered.   In addition, the boat is French Polynesia tax paid, which offers unlimited sailing time in one of the world's most amazing cruising areas.  

The hull underwater was epoxy treated in 2022 and is regularly antifouled (last done Feb 2024). Above the waterline the hull is vinyl wrapped hull in Hanse grey.   There is teak on the deck and in the cockpit, in good condition.  

There are solar panels and wind generator with capacity to maintain all energy consumption and water production onboard. The solar and house batteries (660Ah) are recent and there is a 3 kW Honda generator as backup.  

The sails comprise of a full batten main sail, self-tacking jib, large genoa and storm jib on removable Dynema cutter stay. The engine is a Volvo Penta D2-40F, with only 2450h, regularly professionally serviced and heat exchanger and exhaust elbow replaced in 2024.  The ground tackle is a new Lewmar windlass (2023), 100 m chain and 33kg Rocna anchor for safe anchoring.   There is a 3,1 m RIB dingy with 20hp 4 stroke engine and new tube cover allowing for longer excursions and transport to shore in all conditions.  

For the electronics, there is a large chart plotter from 2018 with integrated autopilot in the cockpit.   The boat is equipped with Starlink and 3G/4G mobile network router, as well as VHF and an Iridium Extreme satellite phone with Optimiser. The safety equipment is up to date with new liferaft (2023).  

Included in the sale is the full set of onboard equipment needed for cruising.   Including: tools, spare parts, kitchenware and bed linen as well as 2 complete scuba sets including 4 dive tanks and a Nardi Atlantic scuba air compressor.   

The boat has a place on the hard on Raiatea shipyard reserved and available from 15 August 2024 to spring 2025, to increase flexibility for next owner.
