Slightly modified Huon Pine H28 Cutter with topsides raised 3" and additional ballast and floors to compensate. Full standing headroom in main cabin area.
One of at least three H28s built on the Tamar by Cec Cartledge, a respected local shipwright.
All Huon Pine used was supplied and cut by Morrison of Strahan. Keel, Forefoot, Stem, Stern post and supporting knees are cut from First Grade Huon.
Planking dressed to 15/16" is also cut from First Grade Huon.
Floors are heavier than specified and at 8" Centres rather than the 12" Centres specified in the original Plan.
Floors are cut from Second Grade Huon.
The sail plan was developed for Miriwinni by Geoff Teasdale. There is an optional boom for the staysail if preferred. Sails are original and good for a few more seasons.
Miriwinni's current mooring in the North East corner of Port Cygnet Bay is also for sale at $5,000.
The Mooring is an easy row from Port Cygnet Sailing Club which provides a range of services for members including bar, slipping, dinghy storage, toilets and showers and parking. The Club itself is 1.4km from the township of Cygnet.
