Before I extol all its virtues everyone needs to know, that this yacht will be sold to anyone who wants to make it what it can still be, provided I get to know exactly what their goal, resources (even limited), time frame, purpose and abilities are; and above all: tenacity. The yacht can be easily sailed by two people, has good equipment, and has kind seagoing abilities with the added advantage of a furling headsail, super strong inner forestay, and a fully battened mainsail and lazy jacks; can be easily reefed. Holland 43 was built in Auckland NZ and won the Melbourne Osaka two-handed race in 1987. Has competed in the Sydney Hobart Yacht Race, and many East Coast races. Has a Balsa Core hull construction, and a Divinycell core sandwich deck. Displaces 20,000lbs, and has a 46% lead ballast ratio. A triple spreader tapered mast, Dyform rigging, two cockpits, a fully battened main, Navtec Hydraulics, a master shipwright-built teak interior, four-burner gas stove and oven, three hot and cold showers (one on deck), two heads, refrigeration, and has a large sail wardrobe, all in working condition. The teak deck needs removing and she needs a new Volvo diesel, etc. This is an exceptional ocean-going proven yacht with Great Big Bones in need of a coat of paint and some TLC, some new fixed and opening ports and hatches. Ideal for extended world cruising after refurbishment. All reasonable offers will be looked at carefully, and seriously.

Remarks
The yacht needs to have the teak deck removed and an Awlgrip paint replacement. A new diesel engine. The mast was removed, stripped bare and refurbished one month before I left it, and never sailed it again. And yes, There were reasons. Tragic!
