Hunter 356 Just Listed

This Hunter 356 is the perfect midsize cruiser for someone looking to cruise short handed. She has a fractional sloop rig with a 110 percent headsail. Roller furling on the headsail and a fully battened main with lazy jacks.

The deck layout of the 356 has more room than you'd usually find on a boat this size. A stainless-steel arch keeps the cockpit open & safe. The arch also accommodates the main sail traveller, bimini with solar panels & cockpit lights.
Hunter's use of two spreaders and reverse diagonals eliminates the need for a backstay. The B&R rigging lets the lower stays move inboard and the upper stays attach outboard of the walkway, giving excellent passageway fore and aft.
Moulded two-tone skid-resistant decking and stainless-steel grab-rails are another high-quality feature. The electric anchor winch controls are located at the helm plus an up button at the bow. The vessel currently has a Excel 5 anchor with 60m of chain set up for cruising, original plough anchour with 30m of chain and spare anchor will also be provided with the vessel.
Deck hardware is all top of the line: Selden, Lewmar, Spinlock, Furlex and Schaffer. The Hunter 356 has Whitlock steering - a superior rack and pinion system that eliminates the sloppiness of cables.

Raymarine ST60 depth, wind & speed instruments together with the Auto pilot, ST4000 mark II are on the wheel console. The VHF radio is mounted in the cabin along with tank gauges, battery management system & the DC /AC switch boards.

The cockpit has a dedicated LPG locker for 2 gas cylinders and generous storage capacity underneath the aft seating and on the transom. There's also a cavernous locker to port that's big enough to hold all water sport gear, gen set, spare fuel, tools, lines, etc.

The Lewmar teak cockpit table folds out from its vertical storage position. The boat also comes with the original new Hunter cockpit table arrangement which can be fitted if required. The helm seat flips back to form steps down to the transom which makes boarding safe & easy. A three-rung fold-out s/s telescoping swim ladder makes easy access from the water. There is an aft hot & cold shower for rinsing off after swimming.
The cockpit is enclosed with a large Bimini supported by a sturdy stainless-steel arch. The bimini also connects with a shade awning.

The cabin of the Hunter 356 is where you'll really notice the difference in the way Hunter's boats are built. An entertainment-size saloon welcomes you below deck to the lavish interior which is flanked by two private staterooms.

The full-service L-shaped galley is complete with Corian benchtops, double bowl sinks, pressurised hot/cold fresh water, s/s cooker with oven, large fridge/freezer & microwave. The interior rivals that of much larger boats and the quality of finish is outstanding.
The joinery is softer and rounder with bullnose mouldings. Fiddles around the counter's perimeter are sturdy enough to double as handholds. Detail features and upgraded hardware on the cabinetry all high quality.

There is an attractive teak and holly sole that is finished in high gloss. It all contrasts with the soft feel of the upholstery and the cabin curtains.
The convertible dinette can sleep two -- and another guest can bunk on the settee opposite. This is in addition to the double berth forward and the queen-size berth aft in the master suite.

Headroom throughout the Hunter 356's cabin is a generous 6 feet 5 inches, for the most part; even in the head, with its separate shower stall & a draining locker for wet-weather gear
