"Knotty Lady" is a 1993 Hunter Legend 40.5 with true offshore pedigree. She sailed across the Pacific from California in 2011, has enjoyed multiple seasons cruising the Australian east coast, and most recently completed a full circumnavigation of Australia and Tasmania. Fast, safe, and well-equipped, she is turn-key and ready for her next adventure. The ever reliable Yanmar 4JH2E has been serviced and maintained to a high standard. Works completed in the last 2-3 years include: New heat exchanger & exhaust manifold, new raw water pump, new fresh water pump, cooling hoses replaced, rebuilt alternator, new injectors, new starter motor. The 150 L fuel tank has its own fuel polishing system to keep the fuel clean.
stern gland packing was replaced in 2023.

Knotty Lady features a spacious and comfortable 2-cabin, 1-head layout -- ideal for couples, families, or long-term liveaboards. The aft master cabin offers a generous queen-sized berth, abundant storage, and a private ensuite head with a hot shower. Forward, the guest/V-berth cabin provides another double berth and ensuite that has been coverted into a tool/storage locker.
The saloon is bright and open, with wraparound seating and a dinette. Opposite is a straight settee, creating a relaxed social space. Seating can sleep additional guests if required. Headroom is excellent throughout, and multiple hatches and portlights provide great natural light and ventilation. This boat was built for the tropics.
The interior features warm timber finishes, solid joinery, and practical storage throughout.
