Hylas 44CC Just Listed

Alice in wonderland is a solid hand laid up fiberglass boat built by Queen Long Shipyards, the Taiwanese builder and launched in 1987. The construction includes an impressive stiffening network of full length fore and aft stringers and transverse floors. The deck is balsa or Airex cored and fastened to the hull via stainless bolts and 5200. Chainplates are massive and tie into glassed over stainless steel I-beams. Queen Long was already well known for their Kelly Petersons and Stevens 47's before producing the Hylas 44. She was desigend by the German Frees and the H44 is regarded as a great world cruiser fast and solid with great sea keeping abilities.

We have mostly lived onboard the boat since 2018. We are currently sailing the winter cruising season in the Caribbean with our 22-month-old who has basically grown up onboard Alice In Wonderland.

The boat is set up for living on anchor and offshre passages. The solar arrangement covers all power consumption. We have spent up to 4 months on anchor without needing to go into port.

Alice is a dream boat to sail, we crossed the Atlantic from Cap Verde to Martinique in 16 days with just two people onboard. We have had 150nm days in good offshore conditions.

We would consider delivering the boat anywhere world wide if the right deal is made with a new owner.

The boat holds 400liters of water in 3 tanks under the couches in the main salon tanks cleaned 2023
She holds 400L of diesel in 3 tanks 2 under the salon floor and one under the main bed all cleaned in 2023. The fuel manifold can be set up in way to polish the fuel through the racor filter.

We did a major refit in 2019-2020

Engine yanmar 4JH4AE replaced Call Seller h now just replaced the starter motor. Well maintained. The shaft seal is a 1.5 inch PSS all replaced in 2020. Replaced cutlass bearing in 2021. Spare cutlass bearing onboard as well as the removal tool. 3 blade fixed pitch bronze propellor

All new through hull fittings purchased form queen long.
All valves replaced in 2020 valves are all true design composite
Replaced all hoses and fittings 2020
Mast down all components checked, replaced all furling main bearings inspected all fittings and wires 2020
