SV Travelling Jack is a solid bluewater boat. We delivered her from Mackay in 25-30 Knot Winds the whole way, the old Salty dog helping me was impressed enough to Tell me I could take her anywhere. As someone who needs more practice before he can do that, I can say she's easy to sail and confidence inspiring. This Jarkan 10.5 is in great condition. The standing rigging including chain-plates was repaced in 2021. All the electrics in the mast were redone, new windspeed and direction instruments installed.. The engine is a Nanni with 2800 on the clock, she as been regularly services and maintained according to the schedule in the manual and has great access from all sides,

The boat is amazingly roomy insde for it's length with 6' 2" inches headroom throught the galley and saloon. There is a standing nav-table, two burner gas-stove and oven. There is a saloon table that comfortably sits four, across from a long sofa/single berth. The walkthrough from the nav-table to the aft cabin closes off to becomes a shower/head cubicle with electric macerator and holding tank. Hot water is available once the engine has been running for a while.

Electrical wiring was redone in 23/24, with two AGM 175AH batteries installed There are 3 x 80 watt solar-panels on a ss frame with davits for the tender. There is a shore-power connection in the cockpit (and cable) with 3 double 240v sockets in the kitchen, nav-table and storage room. There is a 240v battery charger hooked up to the batteries which can be turned on when connected to shore-power.

There is a cavernous utectic fridge, which we havent been using as we do shorter trips, which don't give the eutectic fridge enough time to cool down from the engine. It works fine when the engine is run for a few hours. We run a medium size camping fridge off the house batteries (see pics), and for week-long trips the battery has managed the fridge and the boats systems fine. Happy to include the fridge in the sale.

Anitfoul was done April 2026, as well as prop-speed on the 3-blade folding prop.

The tender is an Island Inflatable 2.9 almost new, with a mercury 6hp outboared, 5 months old, having had its first service at 3 months. (Loads of warranty left) It is attached to davits on a stainless steel frame, which also holds the life-ring and gas bottle. Epirb and flares are up to date, there are plenty of lifejackets on board.

Travellin Jack has been perfect for our young family, allowing us to spread out between the deck, saloon, cockpit and aft-cabin, and has allowed us amazing getaways in the school holidays. I have finally gotten my partner across the line to go and cruise with the kids for a year or two as liveaboards. Travellin Jack is just a little too small for the four of us to travel longer-term. We would consider a partial trade with someone wanting to downsize from a 40-45 foot monohull fit for purpose.

There is a survey from 2023 available. Please message me and I will send it through.

The front-hatch could do with new glass and seals. It's solid but crazed. There is a small leak that I have fixed, which is holding up, but the hatch will need a new seal at some point in the future. This is a really solid boat, with no big-ticket items to be dealt with. She is spacious and classy. Ready to go. Priced to sell.
