Very well maintained 2009 Sunfast 3200 for sale. Ataraxia is an effortlessly competitive boat with consistently strong results in NCYC club offshore racing as well as 1st and 3rd in Commodore's Cup in 2025 and 2024 Sail Port Stephens regatta. Designed as a two handed race boat it is easily sailed short handed and comfortably crewed by 4 - 5 if preferred, with its well laid out and spacious cockpit.
Recently had annual out of water maintenance including spray antifoul, saildrive and engine service and prop speed (July 2024). Has a very functional cabin including 12v refrigeration, gas stove and oven, hot and cold water for galley and shower and comfortable berths for 4 - 6. All berths have lee cloths for sleeping at sea. Current owners have used the boat for regatta events (often staying onboard), club and twilight racing, occasional coastal cruising.
There is extensive electronics including Raymarine Chartplotter, Autohelm (including 2 fixed control heads and remote controller) and AIS as well as Garmin Mast mounted racing instrumentation. The boat has VHF radio and wiring and aerials for both Iridium satphone and 5G signal enhancement. A new Fusion Stereo and cockpit speakers were installed in 2024. Currently in active Category 4 Safety Compliance for offshore sailing program and includes all necessary items and equipment.
The sail inventory is comprehensive and includes Offshore main (UK Sails 2019), J1 (Peter McNeil 2024), J2 (2014), Asymmetric kites: A2 (Peter McNeil 2024) A3 (2016), Symmetric kites: S1 (North lightly used 2014), 2 x S2 (Hood 2014). There is a spinnaker pole for symmetrical kites and whisker pole for headsails.
The current owner had a custom removable stainless steel bow roller made to facilitate easy anchoring and mooring whilst cruising.
