Showdown has proven herself recently by completing the Sydney Hobart in 2023 which proved to be a challenging primarily upwind race. She finished 2nd in line honours in the 2 handed division with no damage or breakages.
Her recent modifications and upgrades are;
New lifting keel installed to allow competitive sailing in Moreton Bay and other shallow draft regions. The boat achieves Cat 1 stability with both keel up (2.5m draft) and keel down (3.2m draft). Keel designed by Fred Barratt and signed off by World Sailing
