Laurie Davidson 36 - One Tonner
Reluctantly, I am selling my Laurie Davidson 36 IOR One Tonner "Phoenix". I had a refurb plan for this boat but unfortunately, due to personal circumstances, I can no longer commit it.
- Volvo Penta MD2030, new in 2015,230 hours, working perfectly.
- Doyle sails, kelvar laminate main & genoa new in 2015, little use.
- Rigging replaced in 2015.
- A Dozen sails. Mains, jibs, genoas and spinnakers.
The boat was designed in 1979 & build in 1980. It has been looked after brilliantly by its previous owner, serviced yearly for the last 30+ years in Sandringham YC, but hasn't been used much since 2017. I've only owned the boat for 6 months now, I've done some work to her & have tied it up quite a bit.
Since buying the boat I have sourced a heap of images, articles & all the original drawings of the boat. This boat did the Sydney to Hobart race 3 times in the early '80s, see some images attached.
