The Northshore 30 originated as a Peterson Santana 30 half ton design, which has been improved with a wider, more user friendly, cockpit for racing and relaxing, plus a family orientated interior layout for cruising. It is a worthy twilight / round-the-cans racer equally suited to weekend cruises.
Below is comfortable as a weekend cruiser for a couple or small family. There is accommodation for 5 and the galley consists of a simple metho cooker with grill, a sink and icebox. And the sugar-scoop transom with integrated ladder makes it a breeze to get in and out of the water.
The Northshore 30 has an uncomplicated, easy to sail, cockpit layout. Tallulah is currently raced on the harbour on Wednesday afternoons and summer twilights - CAT 7 safety accredited. She has performs very well in her division, with a podium finish in 3 out of the past 4 years.
Tiller steering provides great feel and lines feed back to the cockpit, making this an easy-to-sail yacht - cruising or racing. The battened main stows neatly in a boom bag with lazy jacks and the fractional rigged headsails furl away when not needed.
The mainsail and 3 headsails are by Ian Short, made of Pentex Laminate material, ideal for harbour racing and cruising around. The main and #1 are 2019 and 7/10 condition; #2 - 2020 - 8/10 condition; #3 - unknown - 9/10 condition.
Powered by a reliable Nanni 10hp 2 cylinder diesel engine - which has been well maintained and about to be serviced - with a shaft driven two bladed folding propellor
Tallulah was slipped and antifouled March 2025.
