The fastest, coolest Northshore 369 going around.
Valkyrie was commissioned by renowned sydney designers Kai and Thomas Jacobsen, and finished to their exacting specifications. From her carbon standing rigging to her moody bespoke interior with stained wenge floors and leather upholstery, she is a genuine head turner, and quick to boot. A perfect twilight boat, she is easy to sail short handed but competitive for short offshore racing, and like all 369s she has a gigantic cockpit behind the wheel, perfect for entertaining and for non sailors to safely enjoy the thrills Valkyrie has to offer.
With a full suit of competitive sails, PBO rigging, a custom carbon bowsprit and her sleek looks, Valkyrie is ready for summer 2024 and beyond.
The Scott Jutson designed Northshore 369 was a winner out of the box, with a competitive fleet still racing on Sydney Harbour. The modern design and ease of handling, with a clever cockpit layout make her an ideal yacht for Australian conditions. Performance wise, her sprit and rigging give her a very useful speed edge and she is a joy to sail from behind her large carbon wheel, with a customised rudder designed by Andy Dovell.
The amount of care that was put into her fitout is simply remarkable. Austrian upholstery, a custom German LED lighting system and Arne Jacobsen tapware all combine to provide an experience that is truly unique, and one that any owner will be proud to show off. The wenge floorboards are finished in a black piano laquer, and all exposed fibreglass is finished in a high gloss chinese black. The folding corian table is a thing of beauty, and the shutter above the galley allows for clean sightlines.
Valkyrie needs to be seen to be appreciated, and in a world of similar production yachts she genuinely stands out from the crowd.
