Just surveyed, New rigging November 2024 and replaced chain plates, 'Brigadoon' Is Passport 40 number 54 built to the highest quality of construction with a traditional style and all the modern comforts. She has been constantly updated over time and presents beautifully, recent survey available from, The lines on this boat and its sailing capability is as good as any boat on the market. The cessions in the saloon have been stylishly replaced along with the cockpit cushions. This boat has been loved and cared for by her current owners for over 20 years and is a true credit to them and owners past.

Designing and building offshore sailing boats since 1979, Passport Yachts has gained a reputation as being one of the finest and most sought after yachts in the world.

Passport Yachts are built by master craftsmen to the detailed specifications of legendary yacht designers such as Robert Perry and Bill Dixon

You will delight in their performance in any sea condition, and revel in the comfort found throughout. From the exceptional furniture quality woodwork to the reliable and well engineered systems capable of handling any ocean voyage, Passports are in a class all their own.

The Passport 40 has all the sailing characteristics of a good passage-maker. They are beautifully balanced, fast, yet preserve crew energies by being seakindly with a soft easy motion. They perform quite well in light winds and really come to life when the weather picks up, especially on the beam. Downwind they track well enough for the speed lovers to fly spinnakers under self steering with no problems. You can expect routine 130-140 miles days in the trades, but with fair winds and 24/7 hand steering we hear of numbers as high as 190, even 200 miles per day have been clocked.
