An awesome Boat.
Built to survey by Nick Sheen in 1993
Bought by present owner in 1998
Recently certified under the 5 yearly club marine survey. Just antifouled in November.
Re rigged in 2011 with inner forestay added to make all standing rigging having redundancy since also fitted with twin backstays.
Has made three passages to North Queensland and return, each time with modifications and improvements, mostly single handed.
Re-powered in 2011 with top of the range 30 hp 3 cyl Volvo diesel, serviced by professional marine engineer.
New Austral 3 fixed blade propeller fitted at this stage to maximise thrust over the rudder to assist in safe bar crossings with a following sea.
Solid Duflex 19 mm panel dodger with ss tubular frame, and perspex windows, capable of taking a man's weight.
Solid bimini with new 50 watt solar panel.
Hydraulic actuator autopilot steering, with cable wheel steering as well, cables renewed in 2009, and with emergency backup tiller steering.
All digital Raymarine electronics including multifunction screen, radar and remote. Slave instruments in cabin.
A full set of paper charts of you're old fashioned, and the usual cruising guides.
Safety webbing both sides of cabin allows safe access all around the boat for single handed working.
Two year old chain on the electric windlass.
Almost new headsail and mainsail designed locally with a flat profile to allow high pointing when working to windward.
Beautiful asymmetric spinnaker, a little stained from long passages down wind. Best effort was 52 hours Southport to Swansea without dropping the kite or touching the wheel.
Best available hypalon rib 3 years old carried on the foredeck as tender and life-raft. Not yet used for the latter. A right vicious, but extremely light Honda 2 hp 4 stroke outboard.
