Oanagogos is No. 14 of the BRISE DE MER production boats they are tough, lightweight French built plate-aluminium sailing boat, the perfect pocket expedition vessel for anyone who wants to explore remote part of the world, island-hop, or live simply and go far. She is small enough to handle solo, big enough to carry real gear, and rugged enough to handle it all.
Oanagogos is Australian registered with AMSA alowing for international travel. She comes with a top of the line Raymarine autopilot, along with an excellent range of electronics including, VHF, HF, MFD/chart plotter, watermaker as well as other quality hardware like her windvein self steering and an amazing new 440w solar panel set up that doubles as shade and weather protection. In addition, Oanagogos features a Volvo Penta engine with a 190 hours, Suredrive coupling new shaft, cutless bearing and propeller and the upgraded forged stainless steel exhaust mixing elbow.
I purchased her in Sydney in 2015 from a Frenchman who had sailed from France to Australia via West Africa and Central America I then sailed her in the southern ocean, In 2017 I re-launched her having done a complete refit including sandblasting back to bare metal as well as replacing all of the wiring, lining and and replacing and or re-seating every fitting, attachment and piece of equipment. I've since been Sailing around Australia and throughout the Coral Sea.
