LOWERED PRICE as we want to sell fast (we plan to leave NZ end of January)
We are selling our Grampian 37 after our journey from Germany to New Zealand as a family in 17 months during our parental leave. The boat has been built in a small series by Porter & Haylett in Wroxham, England using the plans of the Canadian designer Alex McGruer. It is one of the 2 Grampian boat types built in England and not in Canada.
The boat has been built using highest quality standards, e. G. It has a very high hull thickness. Double bolted lead keel, massive fittings. The cockpit is well protected which gives a safe feeling in rough weather conditions.
Also, basic equipment has been improved in the last few years to enhance the safety. For example, the rigging has been replaced completly in 2021 while increasing the diameter. The through hull fittings have been replaced by modern, long lasting TruDesign fittings in 2023.
A new engine (Yanmar 3YM30AE) and Saildrive (Yanmar SD25) have been installed in 2015.
New antifouling has been applied in 10/2024.
The following sails are included: main sail, big genua, jib.
The equipment is set to fit all requirements for a long-term travel and live-aboard. For example:
- Wind steering system, , Hydrovane" (also usable as emergency rudder) (2022)
- Raymarine Autopilot ST5000, directly attached to the rudder
- Anchor stainless steel 20kg, electrical windlass Lofrans Kobra (2013), 75m chain (+rope)
- Bow thruster Sidepower SX50 (2021) with own battery
- Variprop GP-107 sailing-propeller (3 rotatable blades) (2022)
- Simrad Radar, installed on gimbal (2022)
- B&G Plotter (2023)
- VHF, AIS with own display, EPIRB
- Liferaft SeaCurity Offshore 4 persons
- 400 Wp installed solar panels, 320Wp mobile panels with seperate Victron MPPT charge regulators
- 420 W (max) wind generator Silentwind Pro (2024)
- Sterling charge booster for engine alternator (theoretically up to 130A, we usually make 50-70A)
- 560 Ah (12V) LiFePO4 battery (2022)
- Induction cooking plate
- gas installation for cooking and baking (needs inspection before use, we only cooked electrically)
- Automatic toilet Sanimarin Comfort Plus (2012)
- Diesel heating system Webasto Air Top EVO 55 (2016)
- many spare parts and tools
Due to the age of the boat, cosmetic work is needed in the future, even though we did some enhancements in the last two years (e. G. New KiwiGrip deck). Especially in the cockpit some work could be done, also the window in the bathroom should be replaced.
We also sell a mobile Watermaker (not included in price):
- Rainman 12V mobile watermaker (30l/h, first use 2023)
