"Wave Dancer" is a Radford Seaclass 10.6 - a quick, capable cruising yacht with a long waterline and light displacement that give it excellent speed. It's also a design that performs incredibly well on the club racing circuit, making her a great all-rounder. Initially purchased in Perth, she was sailed nonstop and double handed to Tasmania, with the intention to enter the 2025 Melbourne to Osaka Cup. Unfortunately the cup was never undertaken. She has since been berthed in Kettering and lightly sailed, while still being maintained with upgrades and maintenance which is detailed below. Wave Dancer is an exceptional sailing vessel, imppecably maintained and superbly constructed, just slipped & antifouled with an excellent out of water Club Marine Risk Assessment survey in Nov 2025. The original owner who commissioned the build was a fastidious engineer who spared nothing which is obvious in the photos & in person.

Wave Dancer was built to Australian Standard AS4132.3, professionally constructed by Shekinah Boatworks in Taree, NSW & later trucked to Perth by the original owner. The workmanship throughout the boat is high quality, with strong attention to detail in the fit out. The hull features a 20 mm foam core that transitions to solid fibreglass. This produces a light and stiff structure that delivers impressive performance. The build was fully documented, and a complete set of printed plans remains onboard. This level of construction is rarely seen in mass-produced European yachts.

The cockpit offers generous space for a yacht of this size, and the folding tiller keeps the area clear while allowing easy access to the aft swim and boarding platform. Large aft lockers provide ample storage, including a self-draining gas locker, and are separated from the accommodation by a watertight bulkhead. Another watertight collision bulkhead is located forward, a feature usually found on boats intended for higher-latitude sailing.

Below deck, the interior feels bright, clean and open. Numerous windows and opening hatches provide excellent natural light and ventilation. Myrtle timber throughout the fit out adds a warm, inviting touch.

The starboard L-shaped galley is well appointed with Corian benchtops, a Broadwater stove with oven and grill, and an Isotherm 12 V top-loading fridge. Storage is extensive, including dedicated cupboards for crockery and glassware above the starboard settee.

The saloon features two full-length settees that double as sea berths, sitting either side of a drop-leaf dining table. Additional storage is located behind the backrests and in the overhead cupboards.

The forward cabin includes a comfortable double berth, with a single quarter berth to port behind the navigation station and two more single berths in the saloon.

The navigation station is a standout, with a swivelling chair and a well-laid-out suite of electronics. Equipment includes an Icom SSB, Icom VHF, GME AIS transponder, Xantrex battery monitor, gas detector and a Raymarine HybridTouch chartplotter. Power needs are supported by two 150 W solar panels mounted on the bimini.

The 30 hp Volvo Penta has approx 420hrs on it since a rebuild & is in excellent condition. Engine access is among the best seen on a yacht this size.
