This lovely yacht was designed for safe fast shorthanded cruising in any part of the world. After looking at many designs the seller chose the Radford 13.4 mtr centre cockpit monohull Bermudian cutter which Graham Radford modified to suit his suggestions based on a previous circumnavigation. She is a performance cruiser capable of being sailed comfortably by two people and can be single-handed as well. Sellers have owned her from new and completed a circumnavigation of 45,000 miles over an 8 year period. She completely lived up to their expectations and was fast and comfortable in the worst weather conditions, and also sailed well in light winds.
She has composite construction of fibreglass sheathed kauri using the West Epoxy System. She was built under the guidance of a registered surveyor and full construction records are available. This type of construction is extremely strong and durable.

Remarks
Wapiti is rigged either as a sloop or a cutter. The sloop rig is best in light to moderate winds or on short passages whilst the cutter rig performs almost as well with greater versatility in strong winds or long offshore passages. She sails well under headsails alone and is designed to be able to go to windward under staysail alone in 60knots.
With a Brunton Autoprop she will motor sail well in light winds with very low fuel consumption and this propellor will also self-pitch to enable motoring against 50knot winds. She is a performance cruiser and makes fast passages combined with a good degree of comfort.
Wapiti was built to survey and the building is fully documented at every stage. All equipment has manuals and there is an extensive range of spares as would be needed for a long cruise.
The yacht is located within easy access from Brisbane International Airport.
