Swanson yachts are renowned for their performance, and their sea kindliness. The Swanson 27 was designed as and became a successful JOG (Junior Offshore Group)racing yacht. Their sea keeping qualities and ease of handling means that they remain a great boat for club racing and comfortable cruising.
Chindrina has been maintained in great sailing condition, and upgrades over the years have enhanced her abilities. A Volvo Penta D1-20 18 HP diesel engine with sail drive has been fitted (engine hours only 380). The mast and boom were replaced in 2005, standing rigging in 2019, and new No. 1 headsail in 2019 andmainsail in 2020. The stanchions and lifelines were renewed in 2020, and an electric toilet installed. Most halliards and control lines are led back to winches at the aft end of the cabin top.
Newly applied antifouling and anodes November 2025, so ready to go. A very strong hull, with wide decks. Sails very well.
