Welcome aboard this lovely Swanson 36 "Ping". Swanson 36s are well regarded for their grace, pace and space, a truly versatile yacht with the heritage of offshore ocean racing in races such as the Sydney to Hobart, as well as being comfortable, safe long-distance cruisers. This particular Swanson 36 is one of the last Swanson 36's built; she has the full-length cruising cabin top as opposed to the short top or the hurricane bubble roof. This provides considerably more headroom throughout the boat. Ping also benefits from a beautiful timber interior built at the factory by the highly regarded John Arends.

Stepping below, there is a sensation of warmth and an ambience unlike that of many other boats. Everywhere you look, there is polished timber and inviting patina'd regal red upholstery. A large L-shaped galley with upgraded stove and oven to port and a functional nav station to starboard defines the working area of the interior, allowing you to pour a tumbler of 'Remnant' Whisky and make your way to the large saloon to relax. Moving forward again, there is a large enclosed head and shower before a comfortable V- berth. The interior feels roomy and comfortable with purpose.

The cockpit is a safe, secure, deep style with a coach house roof extension providing the watchkeeper protection from the elements, wheel steering and a cavernous lazarette complete the aft sections of the boat. Access forward is easy with wide side decks and ample hand holds. Another nice feature of "Ping" is the extra height of the pulpit and lifelines, which create a sense of confidence as you move toward the foredeck and the oversize windlass and Rocna anchor.

Mechanically, "Ping" is ready to go with the security and reliability of a near-new Nanni 38hp that has only 94 hours on it. The Nanni 38 provides the power to get you home in the worst conditions without the old engine worries. This is a $20,000.00 upgrade that will provide years of clean bilges without old engine leaks and fumes.

This is the Swanson 36 for you, the best type of deck, the most interior volume, the tallest headroom, and a new 38 horsepower Nanni engine. "Ping" has the heritage of the Swanson brand, the safe, sea-worthy design, the comfort offshore, the new stove and oven, comfy bunks and a boat that will track beautifully in all types of weather. This boat would suit family cruising, adventuring or accommodation as an affordable liveaboard "Ping" will be sold; don't wait, get in touch with Jo Breen , Stuart Watson or Jack Allison at Derwent Boat Sales to inspect this fine vessel.
