The Spacesailer 22 is a simple yet rugged little yacht designed & built in Western Australia by Swarbricks (renowned WA boat designers & builders)
This design is perfect for a first time owner/skipper on which to learn sailing & boat handling skills, an experienced crew looking to step up to skipper level, or for a seasoned sailor who doesn't want to compete amongst the big boats for sheep stations! :-)
Eutopia is easy to maintain and sail, and is ideal for both river and inshore cruising (including trips to Rotto, Garden Island and Rockingham!), as well as summer twilight sailing and club racing (particularly on the Swan River). This boat has performed well in club racing at SoPYC, with podium finishes in numerous events and series. She is small enough to be easily sailed singled-handed if you want just go for tootle around the river to relax, breath in the fresh air, and enjoy the solitude, peace and quiet.
Eutopia is compact but functional, with a well-fitted out cabin ideal for family excursions (4 single berths with 2 singles that can be converted to a double/triple, metho fuel stove, icebox, sink with freshwater tank, chemical toilet). The cabin roof is a pop-top style which gives approx 1.8m headroom when raised and lets the cool breeeze flow through - ideal when at anchor or on a mooring.
