Jusenuff is for sale for $1800 ONO. It is on a mooring on the east side of Dangar Island, NSW, on the Hawkesbury River. If interested email me David at: gmail. Com
The new owner is welcome to use the boat's present mooring for the next 7 months or so.
This price is low because the owners are not using the boat and would like it to go to a new owner who will bring it up to a good seaworthy condition and enjoy the attributes this boat has to offer.
Jusenuff is equipped with the following:
A forestay furler (presently off the boat).
An anchor with 2 X 40 metre silver anchor lines plus 3 metres of heavy chain.
2 x mooring lines 10 metres each.
8 hp Yamaha 2 stroke outboard with fuel tank.
Interior seat/bunk cushions in quite good condition.
Mainsail cover and awning.
6 x ;Barlow winches (not self tailing): 2 x #20 in cockpit, 4 on coach house roof: 2 x #15,2 x #10
Toilet porta potti type (new - never used) in separate enclosed head. Old toilet removed.
A two burner stainless steel metho/alcohol stove.
A freshwater tank is located under the cabin sole.
Life ring with ss pushpit mount.
Jusenuff needs the following work and equipment:
There are no sails so will need to be purchased.
The mast is off the boat and on the owner's property. The mast can remain there until the new owner carries out any repairs and renews the standing rigging. Same arrangement as for the mooring.
The mast needs a new base and a new mast step on the boat (old one rusted).
The attachment fitting for the lower shrouds at the spreaders needs repair (which is why the mast is off the boat).
The standing rigging is old (age unknown) and it is recommended that it be replaced, with ss wire or dyneema.
The running rigging - wire and line - is also old with the odd wire strand protruding so recommend replace with double braided polyester or blended lines.
Rubbing strakes timber on either side need replacement with timber or some other type eg aluminium, rubber.
Both cabin windows need to be replaced. The Perspex on the opening forward hatch has been replaced with a panel much stronger than the original.
Most of the bunk hatches below the cushions will need to be replaced.
Old electrical instruments need to be removed and, depending on new electrical system, it will need rewiring.
New bilge pump - old one may be able to be repaired but would not count on it.
The boat, in its original state, had a diesel engine but this has been removed. Plumbing fittings remain in place, as do the old manual toilet ones, and suggest that they all be removed and holes fibreglassed over.
Some minor hull scratches to be repaired.
