Westsail 32 Just Listed

Westsail 32 Serenity 3 has just arrived into Sydney after a dream adventure. She was purchased by new cruisers in 2020 in Melbourne and then they sailed mid 2024 to Lord Howe Island, New Caledonia, Vanuatu then here to Sydney. See Youtube Serenity 3

When they bough her they refitted her with lots of new equipment as well as new rigging 2024.

The full keel and skeg rudder design is well regarded with many having circumnavigated. She is tough, safe and seakindly.

Serenity is a factory built Westsail 32 further details can be found at www. Westsail. Com and other sites as in the Westsail Owners Association.
Internal fitout is mahogany done in the Westsail factory, California USA.

Serenity was shedded for 10 plus years and relaunched in May 2019. During these 10 years she was extensively refurbished during this time.

RIG - The Standing Rigging was thoroughly inspected at this time, jumper stays were replaced and a Westsail Tabernacle was installed. Making it simpler to raise and lower the mast. Mast wiring and fittings were replaced.

DECK - The teak deck was rescrewed and resealed all other external woodwork was removed inspected and refitted or replaced. Hatches were removed and replaced with Ocean Hatches. The Gunwales were replaced. The deck and cabin top were rubbed down and resprayed.

HULL - The Boot top was rubbed down and resprayed. Below the waterline was taken back all antifouling removed, the hull below the waterline was in good order and recoated with 5 coats of epoxy and 3 of Coppercote. All S/S fittings were removed inspected and refitted.

ANCHORING - The Manual Winch has been replaced with a Muir horizontal anchor Winch, fitted with deck and cockpit controls. The Samson Post has been built in to the winch fitting and strengthened. The dual rollers have been rebuilt sized up strengthened and fitted with keepers 100 metres of new Proof coil galvanised anchor chain is included in addition to the current anchor chain. A CQR and Danforth anchor are included. The Danforth is is mounted in the rear with a 100 metres of new nylon line. The anchor system has a counter rode (measures the length of chain) supplied but not run.

Dodger and Bimini have been replaced
4 man liferaft with 24 hour pack and registered 406 EPIRB (new 2019)

NAVIGATION - The system is a B&G Zeus System (purchased late 2018), chart plotter, depth and speed, wind direction and speed and Wifi to interface with a tablet. Radar as part of the system. Radome just needs to be fitted.

All wiring has been replaced and instruments added. Inverter, Battery charger and shore power professionally fitted. Battery Charger and 240V. Inverter are part of the system.

ENGINE - Is a completely rebuilt Perkins M50, Fuel tanks are S/S and have been taken out inspected and reinstalled. A Dual diesel filter system has been fitted. A separate fuel tank approx. 60 L has been fitted as a separate supply for the diesel heater that has its own gravity tank.

SAILS - Main and Genoa in reasonable condition, Yankee and trysail in good condition, Storm jib as new. There is a second hand main with one reef and a Yankee with one reef. Reefing is slab. Serenity is a Cutter.

Stove is a 2 ring gas with oven with shut off valve and gas sniffer.

All internal and cockpit cushions have been re-covered.

Many extras including a Para anchor come with the boat.
