Cheyenne is not just another boat--she is a one-of-a-kind, high-performance offshore
cruiser, designed for serious ocean sailing. Built by the renowned Whiting family in
New Zealand, she was constructed to be fast, safe, and comfortable in all conditions.
This exceptional yacht is owned by Alan Blunt, the original founder of Sea Tek and a
highly experienced marine professional and world cruiser. With decades of expertise in
offshore yacht preparation and carbon mast construction, Alan has ensured Cheyenne
has been rebuilt, refitted, and maintained to the highest standards.
Cheyenne, a Whiting 49, is available for sale and currently located in the Bay of Islands,
NZ. She is a US-documented vessel that has been imported to NZ, as such she can come
and go without any restrictions or bond. As a non-NZ vessel, she does not need to meet
the extensive NZ Cat 1 offshore safety requirements.
She has dual AC voltage systems and can run on either 220V or 110V shore power.
Over her lifetime, Cheyenne has been extensively cruised and is equipped with most of
what's necessary for offshore passage-making and extended cruising. While she is not
quite ready to go, she could be fully prepped by the start of this year's season for minimal expense.
