YACHTSMEN INTERNATIONAL is proud to present this exceptional 2007 57' MARLOW EXPLORER 57C MOTOR YACHT LATITUDE 20
This remarkable yacht boasts enormous versatility and volume. Powered by dual 705hp Caterpillar C12's this exciting vessel will take you to speeds in excess of 18 knots or effortlessly cruise at 12 knots. Having a 6,000-litre fuel capacity, she has ample range to explore the Great Barrier Reef and beyond throughout the Pacific.
The raised pilothouse, Portuguese bridge, wide side decks, combined with her state-of-the-art semi-displacement hull makes the Marlow Explorer one of the most comfortable and safest yachts in any sea condition. The side decks are fully protected by fiberglass bulwarks topped with teak cap rails that are waist high aft and higher forward. The foredeck is accessed through the Portuguese bridge doors, where the twin stainless steel anchors are set up with the chain on a dual gypsy windlass and two seats for enjoying evening cocktails and watching the sun sets.
The Marlow Explorer is one of the few yachts in the world whose manufacturer has taken the time to optimize the basic hull design. When you see a Marlow Explorer on land you notice very quickly that the yacht is blocked at the bow like every other boat, but at the stern she is sitting on her own twin keels. The propellers are well above the bottom of the keels. What is not so obvious is how these strut keels will make the boat handle in a following sea. The lateral resistance provided makes the boat track straight with very little rudder correction required. The teak planks are epoxied to the deck which is moulded as one piece showing no seams from the transom to the bow, including the Portuguese bridge. The windshields and side windows are tinted glass and laminated with a layer of 3M Hurricane shield to a total thickness of 11mm, twice what most builders use in vessels below 100'.
As you enter the saloon from the aft deck you feel the spaciousness of the vessel's beam. The composite construction allows you to see beyond the saloon and galley to the front windows. The tinted windows and wooden blinds allow the optimum amount of light into the space.
The pilothouse is a few steps up from the saloon and includes the lower helm station, dinette and galley. There are port and starboard exterior doors, a staircase forward descends to the staterooms and a staircase on the port side aft ascends to the Flybridge. The galley is very well equipped with Miele appliances and plenty of storage for provisions. The galley is U-shaped with beautiful granite counter tops.
The master cabin is a mid-ships full beam stateroom with an Island king bed and ample storage. Fitted with teak and holly flooring throughout and satin finished Birds Eye Maple with teak accents cabinetry. There are two cedar lined hanging lockers and several lockers with shelving. The forward VIP guest cabin has a double island bed with a shared ensuite. To port is a twin up and down bunk with large study desk and hanging lockers
