1998 - RIVIERA 36 SINGLE CABIN
"Riviera built on the success of the original 36 Open Flybridge - launched in 1992 - with the development six years later of a single-cabin version.

Like the 34 Open Flybridge, she was designed as a couples' boat, providing a large cabin forward with queen double bed and plenty of storage including hanging lockers. The additional space available from just one cabin also meant a large bathroom with enclosed shower stall, a vanity and Vacuflush toilet.

The galley, too, was spacious, with a two-burner cooktop as the centrepiece with a microwave oven under, a moulded sink with mixer tap forward and angled to provide extra space for the chef, an under-bench fridge aft.

The saloon area offered a U-shape dinette and lounge as well as a second lounge opposite, both of which could be converted to additional sleeping accommodation. BlueWater magazine described the interior as "quite spectacular; light and bright, airy and contemporary, not at all dissimilar to a modern apartment".

Reflecting her true "convertible" status, the 36 Single Cabin was promoted as much for her sport fishing capabilities as her cruising credentials. Standard power for the 36 Single Cabin came from a pair of Cummins diesel engines rated at 315 hp with an option to upgrade to 370 hp each. Further, this 370hp optioned vessel is ready to go with a fully polished cabin, solar panels and engine coolers fully serviced in 2025. And fully services engines and gen set Nov 2025 and annually prior to that.
