Allures 44 -- 2010 | Aluminium Bluewater Centreboard Cruiser
The Allures 44 is a true long-distance cruising yacht, designed for sailors who want strength, and safety. Built around the renowned Allures concept, she combines an aluminium hull with a composite deck, offering an ideal balance between structural strength and comfortable living and including neoprene isolation above the waterlevel.
Her centreboard is one of the key features of the design. With the board down, she offers good upwind performance and directional stability offshore; with the board raised, her shallow draft opens access to anchorages, lagoons that remain out of reach for most bluewater yachts. This makes the Allures 44 particularly well suited to ocean passages, remote anchorages and extended liveaboard cruising.
This 2010 Allures 44 has had only one owner from new and has benefited from regular maintenance throughout her life. Her current owners have sailed her from Cherbourg to Brittany, then onwards to Portugal, the Canary Islands, Cape Verde, Brazil, the Caribbean Arc, Panama Canal, Ecuador, Easter Island, Pitcairn and French Polynesia. She is a proven ocean cruising yacht, prepared and used as intended, and her owners are parting with her with regret.
Layout & Interior Comfort
This Allures 44 is the desirable 2-cabin version, offering 6 berths in total: a spacious forward owner's cabin (new mattras 2022), a double aft cabin, and a saloon table on a jack system that converts into an additional berth. The two cabins include numerous storage spaces, and the layout features separate shower and toilet compartments.
The quality cabinetry adds to the warm and durable finish of the interior, reflecting the serious cruising standard of the Allures build. The galley is arranged lengthwise on the port side, a practical and secure configuration while sailing. It is equipped with a large fridge, freezer and a spacious worktop, making it ideal for real cooking on board during extended cruising.
A dedicated storage area provides additional practicality and houses the washing machine and freezer (Vitrifrigo 110 L freezer was replaced in 2021), further improving comfort and autonomy for long-term liveaboard use.
Rigging & Sails
The rig has received recent attention. The lower shrouds were replaced in 2023, and the standing rigging was checked and revised in 2024.
The sail inventory is well suited to bluewater cruising and offers a range for different wind conditions. The mainsail is Dacron from 2010, the genoa was changed in 2020, while the staysail is new from 2025. For light-wind and reaching performance, the yacht is equipped with a 120 m² Code D on furler, as well as an 80 m² gennaker on furler from 2010.
The sail covers have also been renewed, with replacements carried out in 2023 and 2025.
Deck Protection & Canvas
The cockpit and deck protection have been recently upgraded, improving comfort both underway and at anchor. In 2025, the bimini was replaced, along with new side panels, a new sprayhood and a new PVC sun cover.
Electrical System & Energy
The electrical system has been upgraded with reliable Victron equipment and a substantial service battery bank of 600Ah from 2022, a Victron 1500 W charger/inverter, and a Victron 3500 W isolation transformer also from 2022.
Ground Tackle
The anchoring equipment has also been renewed recently, giving confidence for remote anchorages and long-term cruising. A 30 kg Rocna main anchor was added in 2025, the main anchor chain was replaced in 2026, and the windlass remote control was renewed in 2026.
Tender & Davits
The yacht is equipped for practical day-to-day cruising and easy shore access, with an aluminium launch gantry installed in 2018. The tender is a Highfield 2.40 m semi-rigid from 2018, paired with a Tohatsu 9.8 hp 2-stroke outboard. The outboard is fitted with electric start, making handling easier and more convenient for regular use.
Engine & Mechanical
The yacht is powered by a Volvo D2-55,55 hp engine with approximately 4,800 hours. The engine has been regularly maintained and is reported to be in good working order. Recent works include a rebuilt seawater pump in 2025, exhaust elbow replacement in 2022, and saildrive service in 2023.
The last haul-out and antifouling were completed in 2026.
