Mumby 46 | Proven Bluewater Cruising Catamaran

This well equipped Mumby 46 is a proven performance bluewater cruising catamaran, with the current owners having just cruised her from the UK as the final leg of their world circumnavigation over the last sixteen years since we sold her to them. She offers an excellent combination of performance ( wind speed), comfort and practicality, with three spacious cabins, generous storage and excellent natural ventilation. The interior fitout is not fancy by any means but it is practical, starting with a spacious saloon and down to the the midships galley in the port hull which opens into the saloon and features generous preparation space, double stainless steel sink, gas cooktop and oven, refrigerator and ample storage.

Propulsion is provided by a single 38 HP diesel engine driving a Sillette Sonic catamaran drive with drop down single leg and three blade fixed aluminium propeller with bow thruster for docking. The Sillette drive was replaced in 2016. A complete spare lower leg unit is also available in the UK for the new owner to freight to Australia if desired.

The electrical system has been recently refurbished with 460Ah Roamer lithium batteries installed in 2023, twin 200Ah engine start and thruster battery, 120A charging, Victron Orion battery to battery charger and Victron Phoenix 12/1200 inverter installed in 2022. Starlink Mini and Iridium GO provide modern offshore communications and connectivity.

The sailing inventory includes a new 2024 Peter Sanders crosscut Dacron mainsail with three reefs and full battens, new Facnor F40 headboard carriage and cars, UK Sailmakers Hydranet genoa, Brisbane loft tri radial genoa, Zoom Sails NZ spinnaker and a new 2025 Sander Sails cruising gennaker on a Selden endless furler. A reefable Dacron staysail can also be reduced for use as a storm jib.
The Sparcraft / Eurospars anodised aluminium mast and boom were replaced in 2023 and all standing rigging. Deck gear includes Hutton Arco 57 and Arco 40 two speed self tailing winches and a Harken 42 two speed self tailing winch.

Navigation and electronics include Raymarine instruments with I70S control head, RL70C radar, NMEA WiFi multiplexer, Samsung tablet plotter, Plastimo compass and CPT wheel pilot autopilot with a complete spare unit.

Anchoring is handled by a Spade A100 12kg anchor and Fortress FX37 9.5kg anchor with Lofrans Tiger windlass, fitted with a new motor in 2020. Safety equipment includes life ring and light, rescue line, MOB recovery tackle and four harnesses.
