An exceptionally well-equipped example of Beneteau's flagship Oceanis 60, combining genuine offshore capability, impressive performance and handling with the volume, comfort and finish expected of a luxury cruising yacht.
Originally launched at the Sydney International Boat Show in 2016, Hank was specified as a showcase example of the then-new Oceanis 60. Her distinctive blue-grey hull, extensive teak decks and elegant Nauta-designed interior continue to give her a presence that sets her apart from the typical production cruising yacht.
Designed by Berret Racoupeau Yacht Design, with interiors by Nauta Design, the Oceanis 60 was conceived to deliver the space and comfort of a substantially larger yacht while remaining manageable for an experienced owner. At 18.24m overall with a generous 4.99m beam, Hank provides outstanding living space both above and below decks.
Importantly, she has also benefited from significant recent investment in the areas that matter to serious cruising sailors. Her standing rigging was replaced in 2023, and in July 2026 she received new Dacron in-mast furling mainsail, furling genoa and self-tacking staysail. A Stratis Code Zero and gennaker complete a particularly versatile sail wardrobe.
Sailing systems are set up for easy short-handed operation, with an in-mast furling mainsail, self-tacking staysail, furling genoa, four electric Harken winches, bow thruster and comprehensive B&G navigation and autopilot equipment. This is a substantial yacht, but one designed from the outset to make sailing and manoeuvring straightforward for her size.
Below decks, Hank features the highly desirable three-cabin owner's configuration, finished in high-gloss Beneteau mahogany with anthracite detailing. The spacious saloon, generous galley, electric blinds, air conditioning, electric heads, washing machine and lifting 32-inch television create a genuinely comfortable environment for extended periods aboard.
Her cruising specification is extensive. A 9.5kVA Onan generator, 200 LPH watermaker, 2,500W inverter, 640Ah house battery bank, ducted air conditioning and more than 1,000 litres each of fuel and water capacity give Hank the systems and autonomy required for serious offshore cruising rather than simply coastal weekends.
Power is provided by the substantial 140hp Volkswagen shaft-drive diesel, coupled to a 4-blade feathering propeller fitted in 2026, providing strong and dependable auxiliary performance.
The cockpit and deck spaces are equally impressive. Extensive teak decking, bimini and dodger, generous cockpit seating and a large aft entertaining area make her exceptionally comfortable at anchor. A stainless-steel aft davit arch carries an array of solar panels and Starlink antenna, while the 3.8m Highfield tender with 30hp Mercury outboard can be carried on the davits, leaving the yacht's dedicated tender garage available for additional storage.
The result is a particularly compelling large cruising yacht: substantial enough to offer genuine liveaboard comfort and long-range capability, yet configured so that an experienced couple can realistically operate her without the requirement for permanent crew.
With her combination of recent sails and rigging upgrades, generator, high-output watermaker, air conditioning, solar, substantial tankage, tender package and comprehensive navigation equipment, Hank is already equipped for an owner looking beyond the next weekend away.
Whether the intention is Australian coastal cruising, extended Pacific passages or comfortable long-term liveaboard use, Hank represents an opportunity to acquire a proven and comprehensively equipped Oceanis 60 without the enormous cost of specifying a yacht of this size from new.
