Designed by VPLP and built by CNB Lagoon in France, the Lagoon 42 is one of the most successful cruising catamarans of its generation. Its spacious accommodation, excellent visibility, protected helm station and easily managed sail plan make it equally suited to family cruising or longer offshore adventures. LIBERTYS features the highly desirable three-cabin owners' layout. The entire starboard hull is dedicated to the owner, creating a private suite with a generous double cabin, excellent storage and a spacious ensuite bathroom. Two additional double cabins and bathrooms are located in the port hull, providing comfortable accommodation for family and guests. The saloon table can also be lowered to create an additional double berth when required.
The galley is equipped with an ENO three-burner gas stove and oven, stainless-steel sink, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine and a manual saltwater pump. Refrigeration is particularly comprehensive, with an Isotherm galley refrigerator, a separate Isotherm CR65 freezer installed in 2025 and an Isotherm DR65 cockpit refrigerator, also installed in 2025.
The engines and saildrives were serviced in December 2024, with new saildrive seals installed, while the saildrive membranes were replaced in 2025.
LIBERTYS has been set up with an impressive electrical and renewable-energy system. Her domestic bank consists of 880 Ah of Victron AGM gel batteries installed in 2026, supported by approximately 1,340 watts of solar panels mounted across a custom solar arch and the cabin top. She also features a 400-watt wind generator, 2,000-watt inverter and a portable 2,400-watt Yamaha generator. Both engine-start batteries were replaced in December 2024. The navigation package was extensively upgraded in December 2022 and includes two 12-inch B&G chartplotters, located at the helm and navigation station, B&G multifunction displays, B&G autopilot, radar, V50 VHF radio, AIS transceiver and a helm compass. Starlink was installed in 2025, providing convenient satellite connectivity while cruising.
The Stainless-steel standing rigging replaced in 2025. The sail wardrobe includes a square-top mainsail with lazy-jack bag, a self-tacking furling jib.
LIBERTYS is accompanied by a Highfield CL 3.40 aluminium RIB and a Mercury 20 hp four-stroke outboard purchased in 2026.
Her antifouling, Prop speed treatment and a complete exterior polish were completed in May 2026.
With her owners' layout, extensive renewable-energy system, watermaker, upgraded electronics, recent standing rigging and comprehensive cruising inventory, LIBERTYS presents as a capable and appealing Lagoon 42 ready for her next cruising adventure.
