'French Bee' is a 1996 Beneteau 42s7 now exclusively for Sale with the team at YOTI in Manly, Queensland. 'French Bee' is an excellent example of the Beneteau 42s7, combining the performance pedigree of Bruce Farr with the stylish interior design of Philippe Starck. Built in 1996 in the USA and consistently maintained, she offers a blend of speed, comfort and proven reliability.
Her fractional aluminium rig with rod rigging replaced in 2017 supports a comprehensive sail wardrobe, including Kevlar mainsail, genoas, jib and spinnaker, all serviced in 2024. She has the responsiveness of a racer with the comfort of a cruiser, equally suited to offshore passages or local regattas.
'French Bee' is powered by a Perkins Prima 50HP diesel with an estimated 1,600 hours, regularly serviced with recent upgrades including a new shaft seal, cooling system improvements and serviced feathering Autostream propeller. In December 2024, she received a full antifoul, new prop speed, cutlass bearing, anode replacement, hull polish and tightened keel bolts, leaving her in excellent condition.
Modern Garmin electronics, autopilot, AIS, VHF, LED lighting, Fusion stereo, fans, and a 450Ah house battery bank with Victron charger make her easy and enjoyable to operate.
