Beautifully Presented and equipped for long-distance cruising, 'Due South' has crossed the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans to arrive on our shores.
This Beneteau Oceanis 50 has not only proven her capabilities as an ocean-going vessel, but also provided a very comfortable home for all on board. She has been exceptionally well maintained and has a lot of very recent upgrades to enable her to sail safely with a young family.
Launched in Turkey in 2009, her early years were spent idly cruising the Mediterranean. She was then purchased and set up to cruise to New Zealand, however that journey took her as far as French Polynesia where her current owners took ownership in 2019.
Fitted out with master cabin forward and two double cabins aft, the stylish interior living space is comfortable and spacious. Sailing is made easy with staysail and reefed main - and the addition of Hydrovane steering for longer passages. Her large battery bank and significant solar and wind charging capacity ensure that the essential power is always available to run systems such as her fridges and water maker.
Some of her best features and upgrades include:
Gypsy - New 2024
Raymarine RS150 GPS receiver with GPS antennae
Vesper AIS
Anchor watch and NMEA repeater
Osmosea Water Maker
Evolution Sails - Genoa (62sqm)
Cutlass bearing and PSS seal replaced 2023

All working lines lead aft to cockpit, except third reef tack
Iridium Go
Folding teak cockpit table with usb/12v and table lamp.
LED lighting throughout - all replaced 2023

The Beneteau Oceanis 50 would best suit a cruising family. Her three cabins provide space and privacy for guests or family aboard with two spacious heads. The beautiful roomy saloon allows for a large group to dine together, with separate lounge seating to starboard. Up on deck the cockpit provides a very comfortable outdoor lounge when at anchor and is very well protected when at sea. Due South shows all the signs of a very well loved and cared for yacht. Due South has been imported and there is no duty or GST owing. She is available for inspection on the Gold Coast, Australia.
