Buizen 48 Pilothouse "China Grove " Just Listed

"China Grove" is a 1991 Buizen 48', one of the early Buizens built of Series 1 (she is 2nd one built). The striking Buizen 48 Pilot House yachts are an iconic model, showcasing the best of Australian boat building and design. Eddie Buizen's vision was to create a cruising yacht with proper accommodation and single level access whilst maintaining visual contact with the outside world from within the main saloon. The result is that the Buizen 48 has more interior space than most 48 footers. China Grove's hand built cabinetry of teak and other timbers is in top condition. The L shaped dinette is supremely comfortable. The galley area features fridge, freezer, stove, microwave and is well laid out. The galley remains well connected to the saloon area.

Buizen yachts provide have a rich heritage of craftsmanship. Each build required more than 10,000 man hours. The Pilot House design allows greater than 180 degree view via the wraparound windscreen. The cockpit and saloon are all on one level providing a lovely indoor / outdoor connection.

The yacht can be managed from the aft cockpit or the interior saloon helm. The cockpit helm controls Main and headsail hydraulic furling systems, the electric winches (4), the bow thruster etc. The two winches at the mast are manually operated. The accommodation sleeps 6-7 in 4 cabins. China Grove accommodation is designed with the Master Cabin queen size bed. Guest Cabin 1 to (aft port) also has a queen bed. Guest cabin 2 (midship) has twin single beds in pullman style. The Utility cabin (aft starboard) also has a single berth and can be used for storage and / or a workshop as well.
