The Carkeek CF52 is one of the latest designs from the Carkeek drawing board. Following the super successful 40ft RAN, and using the TP52 as the benchmark to be improved on without the constraints of class rules. Shaun Carkeek has history of successful race winning designs to his name in many formats and especially under the IRC rule.
The owner commissioned Carkeek to design a world class competitive 52 footer which could race under IRC or other rating formulae with a good chance of success at the top level. A lifetime sailor, owner Richard Matthews' experience could be measured by the fact that this is the 35th yacht to carry the Oystercatcher name.

Oystercatcher has proven her competitiveness in a range of conditions, for example leading the class zero fleet upwind in the early stages of the 2025 Fastnet. Her potential can also be judged by the performance of her sister RAN which has been seriously campaigned with exceptional results.
The conditions in which the CF 52 has proven exceptional is off the wind in a full breeze making an ideal choice for offshore and passive racing.
The yacht has been professionally maintained and lightly used, e. G. Used just once in 2024 while her owner focused on a 12 Metre campaign. The 52 is now seriously for sale as her owner is committed to a circumnavigation in another yacht and has no plans to sail the 52 in '26-'27.

Galvanised steel shipping cradle with custom hull saddles and hi/lo option.
