Challenger 39 Just Listed

This unquestionably tough lady has through the years been a beloved pleasure boat plying the coasts of Australia, a sail training vessel with numerous trips to Lord Howe Island and back, and a competitive (albeit rarely a podium finisher) racing yacht. Best know for her racing name Komatsu Blue Lady, she competed in and finished the infamous 1998 Sydney to Hobart and is now on the safer waters of Moreton Bay Qld, where she awaits at her marina berth for a new owner.
Her current owner had all intentions of refurbishing and has in the process, installed in 2022 a new 50hp Volvo diesel sail drive showing just 70hrs. Unfortunately work and personal commitments interstate has put a stop to that and Blue Lady is now for sale.
She has a nice spacious layout with a double berth forward and a single cabin berth aft but she can sleep another two adults by way of the saloon settees. Buyers can be confident about her over all integrity but will need to spend some money on new standing, some running rigging and some cosmetic interior and exterior attention. You will be pleased to know she was only recently antifouled in Oct 2025 and showed no issues below the water line.
