The Farr 9.2, designed by world-renowned naval architect Bruce Farr, was conceived as a high-performance racer/cruiser. The design brief called for a yacht that could deliver a competitive turn of speed while offering a well-appointed interior, making it equally at home on the racecourse or on coastal cruises.

The 9.2 represents an evolution and refinement of Farr's earlier successful designs, including the Farr 1020 and the Farr 11.6. Improvements in upwind performance and initial stability were achieved through a higher ballast ratio, enhancing both performance and comfort under sail.

The design proved to be very successful and led to the formation of The Farr 9.2 Association of Australia (http://farr92. Asn. Au/). The objective of the Association is to promote the Farr 9.2 yacht as a one-design class throughout Australia, and to achieve racing under uniform class rules. Today, around a dozen Farr 9.2s actively compete on the Swan River, with a dedicated fleet racing in the annual Metro Series and the State Championship.

With the Farr 9.2, you're not just buying a high-performance yacht -- you're joining an exclusive one-design racing class where skill takes centre stage.

No handicaps. No guesswork. Just pure, head-to-head competition.

Whether you're chasing trophies or the thrill of tight, tactical racing, the Farr 9.2 delivers a level playing field and an unmatched sailing experience.

A large, spacious cockpit provides ample room for a full racing crew and doubles as an ideal space for entertaining when cruising.

For ease of handling, all running rigging is led aft to the coachhouse roof, making the yacht well-suited to shorthanded sailing. A practical walk-through transom with a removable board allows for easy access to the swim platform.

Seahawk was professionally built by Hitech yachts in Henderson, WA. Hitech yachts had a great reputation for their sophisticated approach to boat building. Every yacht was built to comply with the American Bureau of Shipping Standards. They utilized some of the best materials available including Derakane vinylester on the exterior of the hulls.

The interior is light and spacious for a yacht of this size. Accommodation is well catered for with a double berth forward, two singles in the saloon, and another double in the aft port quarter. The interior cabinet work is of a high standard and there is a decent amount of storage space.

Seahawk is powered by a reliable 15hp Nanni diesel engine with low hours on the clock. An Autostream feathering prop reduces drag and improves performance while sailing.

The mast on Seahawk is hinged and can be lowered, allowing easy clearance under bridges -- unlocking the full potential for weekends at Rottnest Island or some coastal cruising adventures. Seahawk features an excellent mast-lowering system that uses two spinnaker poles and a custom car that slides up the mast track. This setup provides very good lateral stability during the lowering process, significantly reducing risk at the most vulnerable stage when the mast is partially raised or lowered.

Seahawk has been well looked after by her current owners and professionally maintained. They have commissioned Bay Marine to service the engine, antifoul the bottom and carry out a number of other repairs and upgrades.

Some of the works completed by Bay Marine over the past couple of years include, engine service 2/2025, new antifoul, anodes and prop speed 2/2025, keel was removed and two keel bolts replaced 1/2024, new cutlass bearing and shaft seal 1/2024.

Seahawk is ready to campaign and represents a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to pit their skills against top skippers in the highly competitive Farr 9.2 one-design class. Seahawk has competed 10x in the State Championships for the Farr 9.2's and achieved some great results in this very competitive class, 2012 Metro Champion, 2016 RPYC Club Champion, 2018 Farr State Champion, 2021 Farr Metro Champion, 4th position State Championship 2025.
