LE LOUP - FUTURA 51 (1992)
Fast offshore cruiser, already in the South Pacific
Designer: Georges Auzépy-Brenneur · Builder: CTI (France) · Hull no. 1
A rare, fast and elegant 51-footer, duty-paid in French Polynesia and ready to sail on to the islands, New Zealand or Australia. An ultra-light displacement boat (ULDB), 10.5 t weighed: 10 knots close reaching in 16-17 knots of wind, 10 knots average on a broad reach in 20-25 knots. Her canted twin rudders give a light helm and great stability downwind, and the autopilot barely has to work. All lines are led aft to 8 self-tailing winches: she is easily handled short-handed.
Proven offshore: from the Mediterranean to the Caribbean, then through Panama to French Polynesia (2013-2016), and a sail-training yacht in Tahiti ever since. Complete interior refit finishing end of October 2026, cockpit rebuilt in 2026, hauled out every year. Dedicated stern garage for the tender.
