Ker 50 Racer / Cruiser Just Listed

Ker 50 'Kerumba' is a unique, one-of-a-kind, high-performance racer/cruiser fully equipped for offshore and inshore racing, yet with all the luxury and cruising comfort to be able to be taken on any adventure in Luxury.

Launched in 2012, Kerumba, is the brainchild of renowned race yacht designer, Jason Ker, in collaboration with one of the World's biggest and most sophisticated yacht manufacturers, McConaghy Boats.

Kerumba was originally custom built to owners' specification with brief to be fast, comfortable & versatile. She ticks all these boxes, with a hydraulic lifting keel enabling her to navigate in shallower regions while being able to maximise righting moment when fully extended.

She is set up with a high-modulus carbon fibre rig, complete with rod rigging, based on the geometry of a TP52, offering exceptional power and performance whilst being able to use sails from a TP52, albeit with a simplified single hydraulic backstay to maintain simplicity and user-friendliness, making it possible to race competitively with an amateur crew and race/cruise shorthanded.

Ker 50 Kerumba is fully ready to race offshore and raced in the famous Sydney to Hobart Race in 2013, placing a very credible 6th overall after a testing race. Furthermore Kerumba has taken part in many offshore / coastal races around the East Coast of Australia, often getting on the podium.

The time has come for Kerumba to find a new home, allowing a proud new owner to make her their own. The boat is in outstanding condition, being meticulously cared for from day one.
