If you are in the market for an Aluminium expedition cruiser, with style, performance and comfort on your criteria list, look no further.
This Radford #58 Aluminium, centre cockpit yacht, is all of these, and is currently on the hard stand in Langkawi, Malaysia.

She has 3 cabins, and two heads, and a saloon and a cockpit that can easily accommodate 10 people. She's the boat that people gravitate to on anchor, not just because of her gracious lines and aesthetics, but because she is a place of gathering and community. Her linear galley stretches down the starboard side, in a walk through to the island berth aft cabin, and ensuite. With workable bench top on both sides of the walk through, you are assured of practical bench space, no matter what tack you are on. The Saloon has a custom made bench space on the port side, above the saloon sofa, fitted to use as a sewing table of work top space, or office space. Forward to port, is a double bunk room, currently used for storage, and to starboard, a sizeable walk in cabin with a double berth and a shower. The entire boat has plenty of headroom, light, and ventilation.

She comes with a genset, watermaker, wind generator, washing machine and all the spares and essentials you need to make a passage safe and comfortable. She has a brand new cockpit enclosure, with removable or fold up drop downs to enclose you from the weather. Creating a wonderful encapsulated social and sailing area. She is easy to sail, and performs with ease on passage.
Walking on board I was impressed by her solid design, which definitely does not compromise on style and comfort.

The owners were up on the hard stand, in 2022, involved in a major refit of the decks. They were stripping the old corking off, with plans to redo the decks. A couple of patches, like in the anchor area, they planned to re-plate with 12mm Aluminium. They were in the middle of this project when a fire occurred in the yard several boats away. Devocean was not fire damaged, but she was smoke damaged. This boat has recently been through an insurance claim, which held the boat from further maintenance. During the insurance surveys and process they were not able to continue to work on her until a resolution was reached. The boat was in care during that time. And now that resolution has been reached, the owners have decided they do not want to continue with their original plans, nor to complete the work on the decks. There would be other jobs required also, including general aluminium repairs, testing the new fuel tank system, installing a new custom battery bank, and other jobs to finish off what they had previous begun.

At the price this boat is being advertised, and due to the heartbreak of making a decision to sell her, the owners are offering her, "As is where is" on the hard stand in Langkawi. More than anything, they want someone who will love her as much as they do. And have the passion and energy to give her the love and attention that she needs to see her back on the water as quickly as possible.

This is truly an opportunity to own a stunning boat, if you are prepared to take over the jobs the owners do not have the heart to do.
Please contact me today. The owners are open to all reasonable offers for an As Is Where is Sale. The survey report values her at $250,000 as is where is, in current condition. The value of the boat would far exceed this.
Many thanks.

OWNERS MESSAGE :
We are the third owners of this magnificent vessel, we bought her in 2014 in New Zealand.
We moved aboard full-time in 2016, after six months we got our Cat 1 certificate and left NZ for Tonga. The 7 day trip, our first ocean crossing, was awesome. She is a stable, strong and very forgiving boat, easily handled by two people. The centre cockpit makes the ride very comfortable. The electric winch combined with the in-boom furling meant that reefing could be achieved with the push of a button in the comfort of the dry cockpit.
We named her Devocean as we were still working while we were living aboard and cruising, we are software developers and so Devocean stands for development on the ocean.
But it doesn't just stand for software development, it also stands for personal development.
Every ocean crossing changes you in a way and the ones we have done will always be treasured in our hearts.
Devocean also stands for our complete devotion to our boat and for her devotion to us.
We strongly believe that if you look after and care for your boat, she will look after you.
She has for the past 11 years been a part of our team.

After 6 months in Tonga we returned to NZ to make some improvements, like adding the solar panels and the wind generator.
In the next autumn we left NZ again, easily getting our Cat 1 certificate and this time sailed to Fiji.
Whenever we have had visitors on board, they have always loved devocean, she has plenty of room for 6 to sleep or many many more to entertain.
From Fiji we sailed to Vanuatu, then onto PNG and Indonesia. We spent 6 months in Indonesia and still consider it one of our favourite cruising areas. Then we sailed to Malaysia and after a while we arrived in Langkawi, on our way to Phuket and the west. This whole trip took us about 2 years from leaving NZ. But as luck would have it we arrived exactly one day before Malaysia went into lockdown, as did the rest of the world as well of course. So we stayed in the RLYC for 9 months, living aboard easily and comfortably until it started to get uncertain if we could remain for much longer as tourists.

We then put Devocean on the hard and we flew back to NZ to sit out this stint until the borders opened for real. In 2022 we came back and started our planned semi refit. Unfortunately during these works a neighbouring ferry caught fire and Devocean got smoke damaged. Following on from this we spent the next 24 months fighting our insurance for fair treatment.
During this time we were not allowed to work on her. After finally settling with the insurance we are now so emotionally drained that we see no other way but to hand her and the refit over to another devoted team.
