Built to meticulous standards from the outset the hull layup schedule is incredibly strong. Complete with 2 watertight bulkheads, only 2 seacocks for the entire yacht, standard and emergency bilge pumps plumbed to every compartment the Sundeer 60 is a very safe yacht to sail. With a solid pilot house and all lines lead aft to power winches she is also a very easy yacht to sail fast and comfortably. With a 59ft waterline she is a very able passage maker with cruising speeds of 8-10 knots easily managed by the auto pilot. Designed to be sailed by a couple with occasional guests, Mahayana is rare in that she has a double berth aft rather than 2 single bunks. The guest cabin makes an awesome sea berth under way with a large port hole into the cockpit. However the saloon is also fitted with lee clothes too.
