Van De Stadt Caribbean Steel

This 40ft, steel yacht was professionally built and launched in 2000. She was granted full 2B commercial survey in Nov 2000.(Commercial use to 200 miles offshore).
She traded successfully for 12 years on the NSW and QLD coasts offering sail training to offshore Yachtmaster level and expeditions to Lord Howe Island, Middleton reef and Great Barrier Reef.
The business operating the yacht ceased operations in 2013 and she has had minimal use and sadly, insufficient maintenance which has brought her where she is today.
She sits on the hardstand at Ballina and is available now virtually free at $500.

The photos that are steel panels on the hull show the degradation. The interior photos show how she was and the interior has held up well, however please note they are older photos. It is a project for someone prepared to replace some hull panels and sections of the cockpit. The engine is a perkins 4108 and should be replaced though the hydro Borg Warner gearbox seems fine.
Everything will need maintenance to bring her up again. Some sails are in storage.
