The famous yachts of designer Van De Stadt are known the world over for their speed, seaworthiness and strength. Caprice is no exception having been built using the double diagonal West system. This system features the strength of top quality western red cedar coupled with the durability and strength of the West epoxy saturation building method. This, together with multiple stringers, large underfloor keelson and beams results is an extremely strong boat.
Caprice is very roomy, has a full beam giving loads of space below and a keel/draft configuration permitting efficient and fast windward performance. The galley is large with twin sinks, pressurised water and good refrigeration. There is an electric toilet in the large head compartment and a full shower and vanity. The sails are near new, there is bar work and solar panels at the stern, a solid spray dodger and Sunbrella cockpit cover. Caprice has a modern touch screen plotter, older but functional depth and wind instruments and a good autopilot.
She has full teak laid decks, although somewhat worn, they are completely functional with the low asking price reflecting this.
