Welcome aboard "Spice" Dutch designed Van der Stadt 28ft sloop. The design is also known as "spirit" the designer himself owned and preferred to sail this yacht. She is currently moored at Cammeray Mariner in Sydney.
Van der Stadt 28 Spice. An excellent example of this light cruiser. Both interior and exterior are in excellent condition.
Both antifouling and vessel registration have just been completed giving the new owner twelve months free of any outgoing expenses. The cabin was refurbished in 2020 focusing on comfortable near coastal cruising. Most notably the custom made two-meter double bed mattress installed into the birth in the bow.
A long shaft 5HP Mariner two stroke outboard motor weighing approximately 20kg fits into the well in the cockpit as well as acting as a motor for the tender if moored far from services.
All safety equipment necessary for near coastal cruising is included in the sale.
A solar panel is mounted on the foredeck charging two 90 Ah batteries. The batteries provide the power for the Brass Monkey fridge and ancillary electronic devices.
A 60 liter water storage tank under the floor aft. Electric water pump fitted in the galley.
Wanderer two stove gas burner for cooking.
All sails are in good condition. The main sail is stored on the boom and Genoa, Storm Jib and Spinnaker.
The tender is a 2.4 meter aluminum "Tinie".
