Boat Overview
Since the early 1960's, Wauquiez has been producing high-quality blue water capable yachts. This broker, when searching for a safe voyaging platform to take offshore with his family cruising, found another Wauquiez model, the Amphitrite, and was immediately impressed with the build quality and accessibility of systems. Phoenix, built in 2015, was the last PS47 produced before the builder moved to the PS48 model. Both the interior and exterior of Phoenix have been well thought out for functionality offshore as well as at anchor. The original and only owner has painstakingly outfitted this boat for serious blue water voyaging and has already logged over 48,000 miles. If you are looking for a pretty boat to enjoy on the dock plugged into shore power, this is NOT the boat for you. This vessel has been set up for voyaging long distances and her equipment list reflects this. You will not find a generator or air conditioning, but you will find well-organized spare parts for every system onboard. You will find a Watt and Sea 600 watt hydrogenator, a professionally done Victron Lithium battery installation, and a 250-amp Balmar alternator negating the need for solar power. You will find a high output watermaker as well as powerful electric winches, rigging, and sails designed to turn out 200+ mile days offshore. You will find a sheltered well-protected cockpit, powerful bow thruster, and bespoke dinghy davits among her list of cruising equipment. When you are finally ready to make a stop, possibly in a 100' deep pacific atoll anchorage, you will sleep well with 125m of high tensile anchor chain connected to a robust 33kg Rocna anchor. Phoenix is nothing short of a thoroughbred offshore workhorse that will take you anywhere in safety and comfort. Her spacious aft cabin with centerline queen berth is a rare find on aft cockpit boats. A large aft head features an enclosed separate shower. The walkthrough galley to port offers ample counterspace and makes meal prep both at sea and at anchor a breeze. The raised saloon is well lit thanks to the large, fixed ports making this Pilot Saloon warm and inviting. The navigation station in the saloon to port also offers access to all electrical controls. Forward, her guest cabin to starboard features hanging lockers and over-under berths. The guest head to port also features a separate shower. Finally, forward is the VIP guest cabin with queen-sized berth and ample hanging and storage lockers.
Recent Updates
The sellers have recently completed a major refit in Thailand and the vessel is enroute to the Med for spring of 2026.
