NEEL 45 - Proven Offshore Cruising Trimaran

The Neel 45 is an excellent boat for serious offshore cruising. Fast, light and responsive even in light winds, she can comfortably cover 200 nautical miles per day.

Over the past four years, Peikea has sailed approximately 15,000 nautical miles while adding only 255 engine hours!

The Neel 45 is also highly regarded for its comfort and practical layout.

The interior comprises three double cabins, with the two main cabins offering views of the sea and the stars. The galley features a double sink, integrated waste bin, three-burner gas hob, 144-litre two-drawer refrigerator, 53-litre freezer and ample storage.

The saloon and its triangular dining table can comfortably seat six. The navigation station is fully equipped, allowing the boat to be navigated from inside.

The cockpit is arranged around two bench seats and two fixed tables. The cockpit upholstery is new and finished to a high standard. The bimini includes side panels that protect the cockpit from both sun and rain.

The port hull is arranged for the storage of various equipment and could be converted to provide two children's berths measuring 200 x 70 cm. The starboard hull is used as a sail locker and for spare-parts storage.

Boat history
The Neel 45 was designed by architects Joubert and Nivelt and is one of the first models designed by Neel. She was built in 2015 in La Rochelle by the French yard Naval Force 3 and is hull number 12 of the series. All her owners have taken very good care of her including regular refits and maintenance meaning she is in excellent condition.

Peikea sailed from France to the Pacific as part of the ARC 2019 crossing. She was purchased in 2020 in New Zealand, refitted and returned to French Polynesia for a sabbatical year. Her current owners purchased her in September 2021 in Tahiti.

They have sailed her extensively in the South Pacific, including three years in French Polynesia, followed by a passage to New Zealand via the Cook Islands, Wallis and Fiji. In New Zealand they carried out a full refit (2023/2024) before sailing again to Vanuatu, New Caledonia, Fiji and back to New Zealand.
