Riviera 46 Passagemaker Just Listed

Meerheim. A home on the sea. She is now ready to care for a new family. The Riviera 46 Passagemaker launched in 1985 announced Riviera's development of large, comfortable long-distance cruisers. Times change but back then she was a big boat. The name Passagemaker  because of her wide and deep walk-around side decks with stainless steel handrails that swept from the bow back to steps leading forward from the cockpit allowing crew and guests to move forward to the foredeck comfortably and safely.

Meerheim offers accommodation in two cabins - a master double amidships and a four-berth cabin in the forepeak, two fully equipped bathrooms. The saloon area light and airy with windows all around. The L-shape galley just two steps down from the main deck that includes a large dinette and helm station. A highlight of the 46 Passagemaker is her flybridge with aft helm position, plenty of seating forward for guests and a rigid hardtop  and glass screen for protection from the elements. Twin GM 485hp powerplants give her a 17knot cruise at 2000rpm, with a WOT 21-22 knots. The acceptance by the boating community is reflected in the fact she remained in production over nine years, one of the longer production periods for any Riviera.
