TP 52 Just Listed

This fully equipped and Offshore capable TP52 offers an entry to the best racing scene in Australia! Maritimo 52 was designed by Reichel Pugh and built in the UK by Green Marine. Launched as Patches in 2005, she has always been a very competitive and well sailed boat. Under current ownership, she has had a serious rebuild. There is just nothing to spend. Spare rig and custom cradle/storage container combo, making her an extremely attractive package. Clean, fast and well proven. Such an amazing value. She is optimised, Ocean strengthened and race ready!

Maritimo 52 was designed by Reichel Pugh and built by Green Marine in the UK. It is full Carbon/Nomex construction. The boat was clearly the fastest of the earlier generation TP52's as evidenced by it winning the TP 52 World Chanpionships under its original name of Patches. It had a few subsequent owners and competed in the 2021 Transpac Race and was entered in that year's Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race and sailed from Hawaii to Fiji on its own bottom. The Australian boarders were shut due to the implications of COVID and the Mexican crew dry stored the boat in Fiji and returned home.
Maritimo Offshore Racing Pty Ltd subsequently purchased the boat. A new Yanmar engine was flown in and installed pre delivery to Australia.

Upon arriving in Australia the boat was installed at Maritimo's Gold Coast facility for a full refit. This included but is not limited to additional frames and structure being added in the bow area, new full Brookes and Gatehouse instrumentation installed, New sail inventory, Full repaint inside and out, Deck gear upgrade.

The dock suffered minor structural issue which was directly related to an undetected storage issue in Fiji. The boat went back in the shed and further optimisation was undertaken including a new higher modules mast with the older Hall Mast and Boom being related to a spares.

The boat has only competed in 2 X Regattas under Maritimo custodianship winning the 2023 Queensland Yachting Championship as well as finishing runner up to Australian Champion TP52 Matador in the 2023 Hamilton Island race Week beating all other TP52's. It was the first Offshore capable TP52.
The boat is available for immediate race winning use including the forthcoming 80th RolexSydney Hobart Yacht Race. The boat has been extensively optimised for the IRC Rule.
